Personal Mentorship

Welcome to our Personal Mentorships! This flexible program is designed individually for each student, and accommodates a variety of different pathways. Since we create a homework plan that is tailored to you, it can involve a lot of homework or just a little — whatever is most fitting for you with where your skills currently are, and for what your schedule allows.

You can start this Mentorship program any time you wish, and allows you to book directly with our tutors. We will assign you to multiple instructors that fit your learning style and skills that you want to learn.

This is our more customized learning pathway and is a great opportunity to get a well-rounded look at your work with personalized weekly homework that will push you in a variety of artistic areas. Each of the tutors have different specialties, from 2D animation, sketching, to designing backgrounds and characters!

This mentorship is available in a variety of ways: 12 Sessions over 5 months, 16 Sessions over 7 months, or 24 Sessions over 10 months. This just means that you must book your # of sessions within that time frame, and it begins after your first “consultation” meeting with Garth, the lead Animation Tutor who will ask you a number of questions so we can get a sense of what learning pathway would be best for you.

    • A Personal Mentorship begins with an Initial Consultation Session to strategically gauge where you are in your animation journey and a customized focus plan

    • Each Personal Mentorship Session with The Animation Tutor is 1-hour long and hosted over Zoom

    • All sessions are recorded and sent to you for your review

    • Students will be required to submit artwork or a portfolio for review before the live session

    • Benefit from flexibility in scheduling, you can book your sessions one at a time, or all at once

    • Ideal for students who possess a strong passion for animation and have aspirations of gaining acceptance into their dream program, but currently lack defined goals or a solid acceptance plan

    • Those seeking a customized learning approach, complete with a well-defined structure and thoughtfully crafted assignments to ensure their journey towards success, will find this mentorship highly beneficial.

    • Students looking for personalized support to optimize and customize their animation portfolio

    • Individuals desiring one-on-one assistance in skill-building, such as mastering classical drawing to enhance their artistic abilities

    • Gaining confidence and practical skills required to proficiently use animation software, such as Clip Studio Paint or Procreate.
