The Animation Foundations Bundle

Fall 2026 - Summer 2027 Year

Bundle Trailer to be added soon!

Welcome to our Animation Foundations Bundle!

This annual program is for anyone eager to get their feet wet with some early training and exercises that build your artistic skills prior to enrolling in our annual Complete Animation Portfolio Bundle. It is typically taken the year that students are preparing their portfolios for application to Colleges and Universities.

An additional goal of this program is to help you develop some of the foundational skills you will need before you even begin to assemble your portfolio for schools.

So who is this Bundle for?

  • Grade 10 or 11 students (or students that are 1 to 2 years away from their College and University applications for animation)*

  • Early artists who are simply looking to improve their skills across a wide spectrum of drawing and animation-related studies*

* - There is no application age limit. However, there is an age minimum of 14 for enrollment in this program. The average age is 15 - 18.

When?

Our Animation Foundations Bundle can be taken in either semester.

  • Semester 1 — September 21 to January 15 2026 (15 weeks total)

  • Semester 2 — February 1 to May 15 2027 (15 weeks total)

There will be a 2-week break over the holidays in mid-December.

This Bundle of courses is designed to be taken alongside a busy school year.

What’s included in each semester?

  • Animation-related lecture every other week led by a variety of current animation students & professionals in the industry. (8 lectures per semester)

  • Weekly workshops covering a wide variety of topics from drawing, to digital painting, to 2D animation. These workshops will have a mixture of demonstrations from instructors and working time for the students. (15 workshops per semester)

  • Introductory 3D animation workshops using Blender, the free, open-source, and increasingly comprehensive animation software for a wide range of professional work. (6 workshops in total)

  • Monthly Group Feedback Sessions to have our instructors review your artwork (4 in total)

  • Access to all of the video courses for the duration of your enrollment (40+ hours of educational material)

Every lecture, workshop, and feedback session is recorded for any student who isn’t able to attend live on Zoom.

Are there opportunities for feedback on your work?

There will be the monthly Group Feedback Sessions, where your artwork will be reviewed with the rest of the Group. However, you may also upgrade to have one-on-one feedback sessions with your choice of our instructors. Each is up to one hour in length (depending on the amount of artwork to be reviewed).

These sessions must be used within the time of your enrollment but they will carry over if you’re enrolled in both semesters.

  • Option 1 — 8 Feedback Sessions, enough for 1 every other week (+$880)

  • Option 2 — 16 Feedback Sessions, enough for 1 every week (+$1,520 save 15%)

There will be an option to “top up” your one-on-one feedback sessions if you run out.

Why take this program?

Our Complete Animation Portfolio Bundle has been serving the needs of many students around the world, but, with feedback, we have realized the need for many of our younger students to begin sooner. The demands of College and University animation portfolios continues to be very difficult for many, so we intend that this program will fill in gaps left by many high-school art programs.

One of the best things about this program is that you’ll be studying with a wonderful variety of animation instructors, all of whom have already been successful in their College and University applications, and are currently studying animation or working in the field of animation. These instructors know how competitive these programs are, and they know what skills you need to practice from an early age to excel later, when you’re creating and assembling your portfolio for your application to selected schools.

We are always happy to see younger students who are eager and want to get started as soon as possible, so we have created this program specifically for them.

Feel free to book a Discovery Call with us to hear how this program will work.

What will the weekly schedule look like?

Flexibility

All of these sessions will occur in the evening EST to accommodate North American and some western European time zones; however, ALL sessions will be recorded and viewable anytime by the student. It is ideal for those currently attending high-school, College, University, or for those who work during the day.

If your time zone won’t allow you to be live with us, you can still submit your artwork for the Live Group Feedback Sessions prior to the start time, and it will still be reviewed during the recorded session even if you’re not able to be present.

The one-on-one feedback session upgrade allows you to book directly, using our instructors calendars, and they live across a variety of different time zones — we guarantee some of their availability will work with your schedule!

Q&As

  • If you miss a class, whether it is a lecture, or a group feedback session, no problem! Everything is recorded online during the Zoom calls, and is then uploaded for all to view afterwards.

If you do not submit any work to be reviewed during the Group Feedback Session, or during the Life Drawing class critique, you will miss this opportunity. However, it is still extremely valuable to view others’ artworks receiving feedback, and we encourage all of our enrolled students to watch recorded feedback sessions whether they submitted work for review or not.

  • We have written a blog post on this subject exactly! Please read it here.
