June Monthly Art Challenge details

Hey everyone! If you missed the previous month’s art challenge, no worries, because it’s every month! (big surprise, I know) Just a reminder that these are fun, random draws that are OPEN to EVERYONE, and feature awesome PRIZES!

🍀JUNE CHALLENGE!

In this month’s event, we'll be making artwork around Luck and Fortune symbols! From these prompts, you could create characters, illustrations, animations, sculptures, whatever you're inspired to make!

👆PROMPTS! Use as much or as little as you like! These are just starting points to get the ideas flowing!

🟢 JUNE BUG -- Associated with good luck, and connected with ancient Egyptian scarab beetles. It’s also used as a term of endearment 🙂

🟢 RABBIT’S FOOT -- A symbol of luck and protection. In many stories, the rabbit has to be killed at a certain time of day or by a certain person, like during a full moon or killed by a cross-eyed man. Poor rabbit!

🟢 DALA HORSE -- Or “Dalecarlian horses” are Swedish symbols often hand-carved and painted with bright colors! Added this to encourage some animal anatomy practice haha!

🟢 MANEKI NEKO -- A Japanese statue of luck, with colors and posture that determine what kind of prosperity it brings! The strongest luck is a Calico with its right paw raised!

HOW TO ENTER/RULES!

All you need to do to be considered is post a Luck-themed art piecein our Discord in the ⁠#monthly-art-challenge channel before June 30th, 11:59pm EDT. Just a reminder that ANYONE can participate — you don't need to be enrolled in anything to be eligible! Keep in mind that while multiple pieces are absolutely encouraged, it will not give you another entry to the prize draw. It’s also not a contest, so don’t feel you have to compete with others for the prize; it’s just for fun! Please keep all art pieces SFW and follow the guidelines of the server. Thank you!
