Here is some clarification about some common questions about Drawing Club:
Question 1: "Can I join Drawing Club anytime, and if so, does my 3-month block of sessions begin when I sign up?"
Absolutely to both. You can join anytime and your 3-month last from when you sign up. I am recording everyone's start time in a document to ensure you get your full 3-months of live classes. You'll also be able to review past sessions recorded content during the 3-month block of classes.
Question 2: When do the sessions begin on Thursday night?
The start time will shift every 3 weeks to accommodate a variety of schedules and time zones (and currently we've got students from California to Malaysia,, so we're working broadly here!), so it will begin between 5pm EST to 7pm EST, and will last 2.5 hours.
Question 3: What topics will be discussed? How do we know what we'll be learning?
The topic for each week is posted to the Drawing Club portal once you sign up, but the fun thing about Drawing Club is that this will be changing all the time. You'll learn a huge range of topics from perspective, to figure drawing and anatomy, to character design, to setting design, to hyper-specific subjects like working with clothing folds, drawing technology, describing nature with few lines, and a lot more. Some classes will be more overarching or broadly applicable, some classes will be very specific in scope; we're dealing with both the micro and macro of your drawing universe. If you'd like to hear about some upcoming subjects of classes, just contact us for specifics!
Question 4: How does the Drawing Club fit in amidst your other training options?
We hope to make Drawing Club the foundation for all our other study options, an accompaniment to any of our one-on-one training options. We’ve noticed that students have difficulty with similar topics universally, so we’ve creating this weekly training program as a dependable source of continued growth. We feel that that breadth of scope that we’ll cover throughout these classes will accurately reflect the diverse range of subjects that any student of animation or illustration will need to understand to have a thriving career or post-secondary study.
